Colored person: designated people of African or Indian descent like Agatha Christie's 10 Little Indians or the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when these authors talked about darker people.

Person of color: designates all people who have more pigmentation than a white person; that means all the colors, black, brown, red, and yellow.

Sounds the same to me. Although saying a person of color sounds fancier. Hmm

Difference is if you have been coloured in the lines, or if the person scribbled.
