Does boiling onions destroy their health benefits?

I read that onions contain a lot of health benefits, including promoting bone health. I've searched online and can't find any information on the best way to cook them. I can't eat onions raw, I've never been able to. But I've always enjoyed the taste of boiled or baked onions.

Does either boiling or baking onions negate all of their health benefits?

I don't want to sautee them because I'd rather not cook with butter or oil.

Thanks

It doesn't destroy all their health benefits. Just cook them as little as you can tolerate. And you can saute with one of the no calorie sprays and a little water.
