to WW2 Veterans ?or those who know?

What were your thoughts when you headed towards Europe or Asia? was there fear in loss?

    no. we were invulnerable. everybody is coming home, albeit some in boxes. (this is sarcasm).

    Realize that many understood that no matter how they felt about going.. that if they didn't go, there would be nothing worthwhile to come back to because the country would be occupied.
