How do I port forward MINECRAFT?

How do I port forward MINECRAFT?

I have looked high and low and have found NOTHING helpful.

I've been through many "tutorials" and all they say is "oh yeah, and don't forget to port forward" or "go here to learn how to port forward" and it never works.

Anyway, I'm using linksys WRT160N V3.

I'm looking for step-by-step directions on how to do this.

Or just somebody to tell me how to port forward, because it never works.

Try this site for instructions for various routers:

    Make sure:

    1) Your firewall allows the port to come in. Often that stops it, regardless of router settings for port forward.

    2) Make sure your PC that is the Minecraft server is at a static LAN IP address. It should NOT be using DHCP, since those addresses can change, causing port forwarding to fail.

First off, port forwarding opens extra ports so which you could run more than one IP's on the equal laptop.Might be some assclowns tell you to port forward just for one server.Well they are improper. In case your server does now not work, set offline mode to true in the server houses text file and shop
