There is no doubt that he still is the best, as his stats show, overall also but he is struggling for form, like never before.
Like he scored a double century in Aus on the previous tour, without hitting any cover drives, he has to play a big innings of similar stature to show that he has in him, to prolong his career, on merit.
I agree with HDB's assertions as well but he is talking about both Pujara on current form, along with Tendulkar. But in both Pujara & Kohli's failures today again, the batting line up showed its frailty, with youngsters, even comeback boy Yuuraj failed but the experienced, yet struggling Tendulkar stayed long enough to top score.
This is the only reason why senior maestro, after the sudden retirement of Dravid & Laxman, needs to shepherd the young batting line up but he has to score like this, if not those famous centuries, to still contribute to the team's cause.
Being so senior & highly successful, along with his big average and consistency, which has only failed him recently, he is still the best, if he helps youngsters to settle down, it would be another great job done by him. India needs an experienced hand like him, especially against the good teams..
