Is this workout good for loosing weight?

I have been eating so healthy for the past month and I want to start excercising. I used to rollerblade every night for an hour but I can't do that in the snow.. so I have been thinking if I walk home from school every day, that would count as excercise right? So I found this route that is uphill for fifty percent of the time. This hill is pretty steep... so if I walk uphill very fast for ten minutes then walk fast for fifteen more minutes on level ground, would that be effective?

    Walking on the Jill would help and you could go jogging you know if it isn't super dark out around your neighborhood and ask your parents to take you to the gym or the YMCA or something

    Pack a heavy bag. It will work but you might want to do a lil more too

    Only walk.
