Is it better to install large programs to ssd or secondary hard drive?

120 gb ssd and 1 tb 7200 hard drive.

    It really doesn't matter where you store it in that sense. What is going to make the difference in your case is what is the application and which drive are you going to store it on.

    Anything on the ssd is going to be read faster than on a Sata drive (I'm guessing your other drive is sata?).

    If it's space your worried about then put it on the sata drive and keep your more important things like the operating system and essential programs on the ssd.
