Recipe for a whipped mousse- like frosting that doesn't require refrigeration?
I recently tried a strawberry cheesecake that was also topped with piped rosettes of this mousse-like topping. They were very stiff, and weren't overly sweet with sugar, nor solid like regular icing tends to be. It was very very dense and creamy. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me a recipe or a trick that will achieve this. I've been doing research and from what I gather, it seems it can be done with heavy whipping cream, and confectioners sugar with a little gelatin incorporated into it. However, it seems that all these recipes call for refrigeration? Can anyone help with tips or your tricks? Thanks in advance!
