Recipe for a whipped mousse- like frosting that doesn't require refrigeration?

I recently tried a strawberry cheesecake that was also topped with piped rosettes of this mousse-like topping. They were very stiff, and weren't overly sweet with sugar, nor solid like regular icing tends to be. It was very very dense and creamy. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me a recipe or a trick that will achieve this. I've been doing research and from what I gather, it seems it can be done with heavy whipping cream, and confectioners sugar with a little gelatin incorporated into it. However, it seems that all these recipes call for refrigeration? Can anyone help with tips or your tricks? Thanks in advance!

in case you decide directly to apply cool whip this is large yet once you decide directly to it to stay looking surprisingly, use a container or possibly a million/2 a container of vanilla pudding with it. it is going to nevertheless have the comparable mild fluffy texture besides the shown fact that it won't soften down as truthfully. i do it perpetually.
