Are there any conservatives who would like a reasonable explanation of why Romney lost?

I've read this article, it is reasonable as to why the Republican turn out was so bad. The primaries are always a killer and the main thing that needs to be fixed by both parties. A couple of dbates and a nationwide vote same day would be better for everyone.

Some are, some are not contributing factors. The largest one in my opinion was his popularity ratings going over 50 percent in that final week. That small movement partially was the result of how, at first, he appeared to be handling Sandy. However, now that the election is over, we are finding out it hasn't been handled any better then Katrina was.

There's some good points in there. I think the most important point is that Obama had no primary challenger. This set him up for the win.

Because he had no primary challenger, he had been raising lots of cash and didn't need to spend any, thus when it was certain Romney would win the primary, Obama was able to unleash hundreds of millions of dollars worth of attack ads on Romney, smearing the man utterly as a tax cheat, felon, someone who would kill for profit, etc.

During those 3 months or so, Romney simply had no way to respond. He had no cash to respond in kind. He had to go fundraising so as to be able to compete later on after the conventions.

I'm afraid that 3 month period where Obama completely smeared Romney's reputation was enough to scare enough voters away from voting for Romney. And that's really a shame, because in real life, Romney is essentially a boy scout with a long record of helping others.

Romney did not lose. The election is not official til December. Please try to keep up........

Massive voter fraud is being exposed. But that seems to be ok with some people, to "win" by cheating. That's how Iran runs its elections too. How wonderful to be just like them........... NOT!

Recounting the election and exposing the voter fraud!

    Not from you.

We know why he lost. He didnt pander to minorities and tell women they shouldnt have to pay for their birth control or abortions.

He didnt tell people that they have the "right" to health care paid for by someone else.

He didnt say rich people are evil.

  • he lost because of the entitlement mentality..As long as the GOVT cheese and checks flow and he gives them abortion, contraceptive on demand, legalized gay marriage, and "free" healthcare, Libs couldn't care less what Obama does to the economy and the Country
