wanted SATA driver for this laptop cant boot windows :( experts help?

hello ,

my laptop is toshiba l40-17r i have rested the bios so i lost the sata driver , i cant install windows xp , it keeps telling me " setup can not find installed hdd ....... " so how can i install the sata drivers or update bios ?

note: there is a way from floppy disk but i dont have floppy

    There is no driver. Your bios isn't seeing the hard drive. Make sure the power and data cables are properly seated on the mobo AND the hard drive.

    Check the BIOS disk interface settings, turn off AHCI mode, make it think it has an IDE drive (even though it is SATA). XP out of the box does not support SATA, you have to update it once the system is up. Turning off AHCI (SATA) mode makes XP think it has an IDE drive.
