Which play is better, Othello or Hamlet?
I have an independent reading assignment due tomorrow and I needa read a book and write about it.. Which book is better to read and easy to understand? A Summary would help too. Thanks in advance (:

Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest and best play. But reading it in just one day would be difficult. I'd recommend seeing the movie (after all Shakespeare intended for it to be watched by audiences rather than read). There are many 2-hour movie versions but, if you have the stamina, I'd recommend Sir Kenneth Branagh's uncut version, which runs about 4 hours.
For a summary, I'd recommend Wikipedia:
But to truly understand Hamlet, I recommend my own website:

(named after Hamlet's request to Ophelia: "Nymph, in thy orisons be all my sins remembered.)
If you don't read anything else today, please at least read the following short essays:
The Honey of His Music Vows - http://www.thyorisons.com/#Music_Vows
The Last Act of Hamlet - http://www.thyorisons.com/#Last_act
Warning: My interpretations are radically different from all the mainstream "authorities," however I'm confident that I have discovered Shakespeare's true intended meanings. You be the judge.
And please don't stop after your school assignment is done. Hamlet is worth far more than one day. I've been studying Hamlet for almost 20 years and it still fascinates me.Source(s): My website: http://www.thyorisons.com/ Be All My Sins Remembered a.k.a.
