Suporting opinion on same sex marriage?
I'm writing an Argumentative essay and I need to support my opinion on why I am for same sex marriage.
The directions say "support your claim (opinion) with atleast 3 appropriate pieces of evidence"
But I'm stuck on this part. Help? please?

Equality: It wasn't too long ago, when inter-racial relationships were illegal. It isn't right to make laws baring gay couples from the same rights that straight couples enjoy. If one man isn't free, than no one is.
Separation of Church and State: Give not only freedom OF religion, but also freedom FROM religion. The only defense that people against same sex marriage have, is either because it's gross, or because the bible says its wrong. We don't force people to abide by other biblical laws ( such as no adultery or sex before marriage) so why choose to enforce this one?
Gay marriage is protected by the Constitution's commitments to liberty and equality. The US Supreme Court declared in 1974’s Cleveland Board of Education v. LaFleur that the "freedom of personal choice in matters of marriage and family life is one of the liberties protected by the Due Process Clause.” US District Judge Vaughn Walker wrote on Aug. 4, 2010 that Prop. 8 in California banning gay marriage was "unconstitutional under both the Due Process and Equal Protection ClausesSource(s): http://gaymarriage.procon.org/ And me. :)

Plain and simple equality. Take a look at this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rights_and_responsibi...
Straight couples get all of that handed to them on a silver platter. Gay couples don't. Where's the equality in that?
