Why did Rebecca Skloot write The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks?
What do you think Rebecca Skloot's main purpose is in the writing of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks? Im just curious like did she really care about them without even knowing them? What do you think?

Skloot seems to be interested not only in the scientific breakthrough of the HeLa cells, but the legacy of the donor who didn't even know that she was a donor and her family (especially her daughter) who didn't have a sense of her mother as a person.
Check out the radiolab interview: http://www.radiolab.org/2010/may/17/henriettas-tum... It's quite powerful.
Hope this helps.
