請問approve和grant的意思的差別

請問approve和grant的意思的差別

奇摩字典解釋兩個詞的意思分別為

但還是不清楚這兩個字之間是否有較細的差別,

是兩個單字都適合用於政府單位"准予"或"核准"什麼什麼嗎?

或哪個單字比較適合用在什麼場合,哪個單字不適合呢?

    If someone in a position of authority approves a plan or idea, they formally agree to it and say that it can happen.

    If a product or person is approved by an official organization, they are declared to be of a good enough standard to be used or employed.

    If someone in authority grants you something, or if something is granted to you, you are allowed to have it.

    所以這兩個動詞最大的差別在grant是授與動詞,而approve不是。
