Minecraft Server "Failed to connect - timed out"?

So I have been playing on an amazing minecraft world for a few weeks with some good friends, and randomly none of the can connect because of a 'failed to connect - timed out' error. Why is this happening? Because it worked 24 hours ago and has never has this problem before, and I can connect just fine. Did something get messed up? I have no idea what could have changed, nobody has been on that could do anything. Thanks!

Update:

1. I've already completely disabled the firewall and it changed nothing

2. I port forwarded a second time, which changed nothing

3. Installed the newest version of Java, still nothing

4. Reinstalled the entire server, still nothing.

WHAT IS WRONG!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! NOTHING HAS CHANGED WHY WON'T IT WORK!

Most likely your hosts computer's antivirus has stopped the port forwarding from operating. Have your host connect on that computer using localhost as the ip and if it works, that is mostly your problem. You must modify the antivirus/firewall to make an exception to minecraft's port forward so it can run properly. Or turn off the antivirus when playing, if you dare.
