    25% = 25 / 100 = 0.25

    25% of X = 2Y

    0.25X = 2Y (I)

    30% = 30 / 100 = 0.3

    0.3Y = 24 (II)

    From (II), we have:

    0.3Y = 24 ⇒ Y = 24/0,3 ⇒ Y = 80

    From (I), we have:

    0.25X = 2Y ⇒ 0.25X = 2*80 ⇒ 0.25X = 160 ⇒ X = 160/0.25 ∴ X = 640.

    30% of Y = 24 then 30%=24

    100%=y therefore y=24*100/30=80 y = 80

    if y = 80 then 2y=160

    25% = 160

    100% = x therefore x=160*100/25=640

    Congrats x = 640

    well, take it step by step, first of all in order to get X we need to find out what Y is first (since X = 2 times whatever Y is)

    we know that 30% or .3 of Y=24 so --> .3y=24 which turns out to be y=80

    now that we know that y=80 we can plug it in the equation of X

    and since 25% or .25 of X = 2Y then --> .25X = 2(80)

    now simplify .25X = 160

    X = 640

    30y/100=24

    y=240/3

    y=80

    25x/100=2*80

    x=160*4

    x=640
