Solving Rational Equations?

How would you solve these two equations? Please help, I really don't understand it...

1.) 3/4x= 14-x

and

2.) x/5-x/10=7

    1) 3/4 = 14x - x^2

    x^2 - 14x + 3/4 = 0

    4x^2 - 56x + 3 = 0

    x = 7 - 1/2(sqrt 193) or x = 7 + 1/2(sqrt 193)

    2) 2x - x = 70

    x = 70

    LCD = 4

    ---> 3x = 4(14-x) , solve for x

    2/

    LCD = 10

    2x - x = 70, solve for x
