Would using a heavy bag make me overtrain?
I was thinking about getting a boxing heavy bag to help me tone my muscles and also get a good cardio workout in. But I do lift weights 3 times a week, so I would hit the bag on my off days, I dont know if i could do that though, my body would get way too tired and by the time I want to lift again, I will be too sore and tired to lift. So should I just stick to lifting and then doing a little cardio on the side?

i dont think so...i lift weights 2-3 times a week and heavy bag train almost everyday, im not overtrained your body gets used to it
