Why and how does Martin King Luther's letter relate to education?

From the "Letter from Birmingham Jail".

-How does he see education fit into his topic of race issues?

    Simply put- the more educated a person is - the less likely he/she will be to think and act in a racist motivated manner.

    Probably because if he had not been educated he would not have been able to write the letters and the same thing could be said about those wanting to read the letters. Reading and writing are a major part of education...
