Yes, their great pets. I've had 3 total my entire life. BUT, there's a lot of responsibility to take care of them. They need a lot of room to live, you can't keep them in a cage. They love lots of vegetables (not only that though), and they may bite sometimes, but their so cute you'll forgive them.

Indeed, and when they die you can make a big pot of dumplings!
