If the Bible is not God's Word to man, then what is ?

Of the facts stated in the Bible, some have only come to be known and confirmed by science in recent times. For example, the Bible long ago revealed a beginning for the universe (Genesis 1:1), the correct order in which all living things were formed (Genesis, chapter 1), and the effects of the hereditary process (Psalm 139:16). Long before people had any concept of germs and hygiene, the Bible provided the Israelites with instructions that anyone touching a dead body (or excrement) became unclean and had to wash himself and his garments.—Numbers 19:11-22; Deuteronomy 23:12-14.

How did the Bible writers come to know these scientifically correct practices? They could not have written according to their own ideas because people in Bible times did not possess such knowledge. Only the Creator had the power and wisdom to provide that information. We, therefore, have sound reasons to believe that the Bible is truly from God.

Many do not even know about what is contained. For instance you brought out a good point on the laws on hygiene. The nation of Israel stood out in comparison to the others. It was true then and it is true now.

True happiness depends on our walking in God’s law. (Psalm 119:1-8) If we do this, Jehovah will consider us ‘faultless in our way.’ (Psalm 119:1) Being faultless does not mean that we are perfect, but it does indicate that we strive to do Jehovah God’s will. Noah “proved himself faultless among his contemporaries” as a man who “walked with the true God.” That faithful patriarch and his family survived the Flood because he pursued the life course outlined by Jehovah. (Genesis 6:9; 1 Peter 3:20) Similarly, our survival of this world’s end depends on our ‘carefully keeping God’s orders,’ thus doing his will.—Psalm 119:4.

    >> For example, the Bible long ago revealed a beginning for the universe (Genesis 1:1),

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth".

Wow, that is fookin' deep science there. However, even that is sceintifically wrong. The Universe is about 13.75 billion years old. The Earth is about 4.5 billion.

So, if the Bible said: "In the beginning, God created the heavens, waited 9 billion years, then created the Earth", you might have had something.

Also, isn't this the same book that very scientifically called bats "unclean birds"?

The bible is a compilation of religious texts written by pre-scientifc Bronze Age Israelites. These people thought that the earth was flat and that God literally raised the sun over the stationary earth.

If you think that a collection of ancient texts suggesting that the earth is a mere 6,000 years old, that day and night existed before the sun and moon existed, and that all of the world's people are derived from two people who lived in a Mesopotamia garden around 4000 BCE is scientifically accurate, you might want to think again.

Please explain how the light came before the stars if you think the bible is so scientifically accurate.

Your question presupposes that this God character exists, which can not logically be assumed. It also assumes that this God character has tried to communicate with us, which as above can not be assumed.

Also, since we don't actually know anything about the bible, it could have been written long after it was supposedly written. No one alive today was alive then, and all we're going off of is the word of a man, who is going off the word of a different man, who is, in turn, going off the word of another, who is also going off the word of a different man, until we get the piece of crap we have today.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Scientific theories gaps and insufficient theories disproves their argument for creation. The Big Bang Theory is just that "theories" . Something so disastrous couldn't create the earth, it is impossible.

Darwin's Evolution is preposterous to say the least, humans have a soul and conscience, unlike animals. That is just personification of humans to animals. The gaps in the fossil records, and the premordial soup of the supposedly atmosphere of ancient times makes Evolution far fetched.

    your question is excellent!

but it is to complex for the simple minded,

did you really think the atheist can answer a question of this magnitude?

even if they would study on this question for 40 years they wont understand it

    God won't let them.
