What is the Symbolism of a Pregnant Angel?
Loss of innocence? Knowledge of sin?
Thoughts??
We aren't talking logic, not that angels exist...this is symbology, as in, I saw it in a film and was wondering the artistic interpretation. Don't be stupid and take this literally.
In the film, it was a stone statue, not an actual animate "being."

Maybe. Depends on the context...
Angels have been known to procreate with humans (they fell afterwards) which resulted in nephilim (there is mention in the bible I believe)

You asre exactly right, the nephilim. The fallen angels that turn into demons. Angels are spoken of in the bible as 'sexless' one of the gospels reference it. 'Neither male nor female, thus sterile like vampyres and such. The nephilim are in the old testament, genesis perhaps.

It is symbolic of a brainless author who uses concepts without knowing what they mean. Science is anything that can be measured. Spirit is anything that can not be measured. Spirit begets spirit, flesh begets flesh. Spirits are created by the guy with the big 'Z' on his sweatshirt, not in some angel's belly.
Of course we allow authors "artistic freedom". Just don't ever confuse their brain farts with useful information.
