Canada's a literal treasure-trove of natural resources.
And our natural resources economy will make Canada the next superpower of the 21st Century.
(That's a goal that the Canadian government is actively working towards achieving.)
To start with, Canada's loaded with mineral wealth.
All sorts of useful ores and precious ones like gold, silver, nickel and diamonds.
(10 years ago nobody knew we even had diamonds. Now we're the world's 3rd largest producer.)
Canada has the world's most oil, more than all Middle East nations combined:
Canada's in an all-out race to seize control of the global oil economy from OPEC.
So much so that every 14 days, $1 billion is spent on increasing/expanding oil production.
Canada's the world's 2nd largest nation in size, and is over 53% covered in forests.
That's the largest region of certified forest on planet Earth.
So forestry is definitely a major industry in Canada.
Canada also has over 50% of the world's total number of freshwater lakes and rivers.
Nobody actually knows for sure how many lakes there are.
It seems the Canadian government gave up on counting them after reaching 3 million or so.
What it all sums up as is that Canada has the world's most fresh water:
Canada's resource economy has made this nation one of the world's richest, most-advanced First World countries.
And it's only just gotten started since, as the stuff about diamonds proves, we still don't know just how much natural resource wealth Canada truly has.
On top of which is whatever resources we'll find once we finalize this:

The demand of mineral resources seem to encourage growth in Alberta (oil sands) etc.
Other than that, R.I.M. (blackberry) once enhance economy of both Canada and other countries in telecommunication sector. However recent lack of sales and design glitches have set the company back. Therefore Canada and engineering sectors are affected accordingly due to engineers being laid off. (less tax income from professionals to the federal government)
