What religion did Michael Jackson believe in or practice?

I know this seems random to ask such a question about the worlds biggest music pop king but I was just curious and wanted to know if he believed in any religion or if he openly practiced any religion at all.

There's more evidence of him being Christian than anything. He left JW back in the late 80's. His brother Jermaine said he gave MJ Muslim literature to read but he confirmed that Michael did not convert to Islam.

"I avoid using the term 'religion', because many people say 'my religion' this and 'my religion' that. Why should it be 'my' religion? I just believe what’s in the Bible with regard to which religion is involved. I simply believe.... I believe in it and I get down on my knees every night and thank God and ask Him to lead the way." - MJ 1979 Ebony Magazine interview

More in his own words regarding religion >

He told David Pack he was a Christian >

His bodyguards said he read the bible daily. > This was actually copied from the real Q&A with the Bodyguards on FB. I remember reading their FB account.

Kim Clement a Christian Evangelist prayed with him >

Kiki Chambers, his maid from 1991 - 2003 talked about MJ and religion. >

Well known Christian singer and minister talks about his relationship with MJ and their meetings >

MJ invited Paula White a Christian Minister out to his home to counsel him >

MJ attended AME church in LA with Steve Harvey, his attorney T.Mez & Randy >

In Rabbi Shmuley's Book, 'The Michael Jackson Tapes', MJ talks about why he left Jehovah's Witness. He said they were critical of his success and he had questions about God that the elders could not answer. >

Michael talks about his first Christmas in 1993 after leaving JW.

He used to be a Jehovah's Witness. When he made the thriller video, there were some issues between him and the church, and he put a disclaimer on it at the beginning stating he didn't believe in the "occult".

Eventually he disassociated from the church, and now most JWs refer to him as a mentally ill lost sheep (you must be mentally ill to willfully leave the church with the end of the world so close. That's their reasoning)

If Michael actually grew to alter into Muslim, he might nevertheless be alive and he might've not died on the palms of Conrad Murray. So if he's a Muslim the place is he hiding then. The Muslim united states of america might easily stored him properly hidden if he replaced into one. Michael continuously confirmed a stable interest in non secular concerns his entire existence. He replaced into very spiritually vulnerable. this is why he has continuously been in touch relating to the earth and in helping others to boot as babies, that replaced into his hobby. as a techniques because of the fact the remark to the girl who mentioned "she did not % to be in heaven if Michael Jackson wasn't there".this is extraordinarily selfish assertion to make. once you're a real Christian you may comprehend greater desirable then to rigidity approximately one in all those trivial venture like that. Be greater in touch approximately your salvation and not approximately Michael's salvation. this is God's interest.

Well his mom is JW. His brother and now his sister are muslim. He wrote in his will he wanted his kids to be raised JW. He lived in Bahrain for a while and I would guess he was muslim but he drank and neither JW nor muslim are supposed to drink.

Who knows. It appears he didn't practice any religion but his children are being raised JW by his mother.

He grew up a Jehovah Witness. As an adult I think he left religion all together, but I could be wrong.
