A year and a half ago, there was a protest movement in Syria calling for more democracy, freedom, and reforms. It was originally peaceful, but outside forces and extremist factions hijacked this movement for their own purposes, and began using violence. The Syrian army then had to respond with even more violence, and an armed conflict erupted.

The majority of those fighting against the Syrian government are terrorists and foreign mercenaries. America, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and several other countries have been funding these terrorists and using them to try to overthrow the Syrian government. They have been smuggling large amounts of weapons across the Syrian border to the terrorist groups, and sending in hired foreign insurgents to kill people and cause chaos.

This collection of foreign-backed terrorist groups in Syria, known as the “Free Syrian Army”, is blowing up government buildings, sabotaging infrastructure, setting off car bombs in residential areas, destroying and terrorizing neighborhoods, committing massacres, forcing people to flee their homes and targeting anyone who belongs to a different sect or whom they suspect of supporting the government. Since the start of the conflict they have killed around 10,000 - 20,000 people and kidnapped and tortured thousands more.

Most of the members of the FSA are Sunni extremists who have come from all over the Middle East. They include fighters from Libya, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, and elsewhere. Many of them are jihadists directly linked to al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. They are motivated solely by sectarian hatred, and they have openly expressed their desire to establish an Islamic state in Syria.

The US wants to overthrow the Syrian government not for humanitarian reasons as the media claims, but for geopolitical reasons, in particular because of Syria's firm stance against Israel, its opposition to US regional interests, its support for resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon, and its alliance with major US enemies like Russia, China and Iran. By destroying Syria the US would be able to break apart the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah axis and get closer to establishing total hegemony in the middle east.

Not only has the US admittedly planned an overthrow of the Syrian government for decades, but it has also given money and weapons to sectarian anti-government terrorists in Syria and provided training to so-called Syrian “activists” before the start of the current “uprising”. (bit.ly/KmkQF3)

The majority of "news reports" about Syria that you see on CNN/BBC/Al-Jazeera are stories and rumors that are taken without any verification directly from Syrian opposition sources, and from anonymous "activists" who have a vested interest in painting the Syrian situation in a certain way. Most of the time these stories later turn out to be misleading or completely false, and many times the sources of these stories are not even in Syria.

For example the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights", which is one of the most quoted sources in the media about the Syrian conflict, is actually run from an apartment in England by one man who owns a clothes shop and supposedly gets all his information from "anonymous phonecalls". Meanwhile, sources actually on the ground in Syria who tell a completely different story are ignored.

The western mainstream media is owned by the military-industrial complex and is an inseparable part of the establishment. It is controlled by the very same interests that are trying to overthrow Syria, and its job is to help facilitate that overthrow by manipulating public opinion. That is why the media demonizes the Syrian government and exaggerates its wrongdoings while ignoring the atrocities committed by the rebels.

What you will never hear on the news is that the Syrian government has already met most of the demands of the legitimate opposition in Syria (the one that is peaceful and actually inside Syria, unlike the Turkey-based “Syrian National Council” that has rejected all dialogue and is calling for foreign invasion).

The Syrian government has already implemented new party laws, new media laws, new election laws, the emergency law has been lifted, general amnesty has been granted multiple times, a new constitution has been implemented via referendum, there have been new elections, etc.

Source(s): However, the US has been doing everything in its power to sabotage a peaceful, internal, political solution to the crisis in Syria; since that is the last thing they want. Their goal is to increase the violence in Syria and escalate the bloodshed to such a level that an immediate US military "intervention" would be justified in the eyes of the world. This is why prior to almost every major UN meeting on Syria there has been a conveniently-timed massacre blamed on the Syrian military. bit.ly/MUB5u0 /LMXcM9 /JIS5ha /LcXV8F /P22XLL /LSxOr5 (<--"Houla's children support the Syrian Army") Most people in Syria support the government (something you will never see on CNN) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgdBQ_jetCY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmIpXedHkAU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6gV5EuvBvY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkKaMx1N6I See also: http://bit.ly/xE27qI http://bit.ly/PH2xwq http://bit.ly/yTHEcx http://bit.ly/PRBj0L

It's almost 8 months that the Syrian war started. In the recent months it escalated in bloodshed as it spread to Damascus and more recently to Syria. Uncle Sam is behind the steering wheel of the rebels. The US wants its writ on Syria and an end to Russian hegemony. There is more to it than meets the eye ......

Syria is part of the Arab / Muslim world, for the last 60 years free masons/zionists controlled western world fully, and, in turn, the west selected corrupt leaders of Arab/Muslim worlds.

ever since January 2011, Arab Countries, [Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yaman, Jordan, Syria, you can add later: Morocco & Algeria]

Tunisia, Egypt, & Libya are free now. Yaman is under same regime but new leader.

in Syria, there was peaceful demonstrations demanding democracy, the government placed snipers at roofs of buildings to shoot to kill those demonstrators in the head, even women, elders, kids. slowly turned into armed revolt 30,000 killed, 2millions 165,00 and much more daily buildings being destroyed by airstrikes and artillery attacks

the west pledged full support at start, but, little by little withdraw any promise. Syrian peoples were left to face most criminal leader ever in history. [BTW, doctors were killed, medical supplies destroyed]

the only good thing about it: it is the way of return of Jesus Christ

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Damascus has been in ruins before, but never ceased to be a city, that is yet to be,

It goes back to the time of Abraham, one of his servants was from there.

People tie the Arab spring to things: do not like, they fear, or they have interest in. Arab spring is where normal Arab people rebelled against corruption, discrimination, opportunistic, living under slavery of dictators and their families and relatives. Arab spring has nothing to do with the outside world or others outside the Arab states except oppositions living in exile/s. The Arab spring has nothing to do with religions and religious issues. Arabs, for the first time, were able through the web such as facebook and Twitter to organize large demonstrations against Dictators.

    • First : (TUNISIA)

    Arab Spring started in Tunisia:

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohamed_Bouazizi

    Google: mohamed bouazizi

    • Last : (SYRIA)

Because of the extreme fear and intimidation Syrians lived with for 42 years. Under the same illegal, racial, criminal, most ugly regime in the world. The last Arab state that joined the Arab spring was Syria.

The last uprising against this regime was in the 1982. Where the last Illegal president Hafez Assad and his brother killed 40.000 Syrians to appease them and destroyed the city of Hamah.

    Google : Hamah city,

The current uprising started In the Syrian city of Dara’a on the border with Jordan. Where some kids, influenced by the TV’s news of the Arab spring in other Arab states, wrote things on a wall where the kids were forcefully taken from their parents, imprisoned, tortured, their nails were taken of, and at the beginning refused to free them under any circumstances. As a result their parents rebelled and some of them were shot died by the regime. This resulted the uprising to start and escalate in many other areas of Syria.

For many months, the regime as used to in the last 42 years, used extreme force, torture, and direct killing against peaceful protestors and accused them of all kind of bad accusations and telling the world that they have been fighting terrorists. The same way did in the last 42 years of tutoring under the lie that they were fighting Israel and America. Anybody opposed that lie was taken, tortured, considered traitor and executed. They banned the international media from entering Syria and converted it into a large prison. All that resulted in the escape of soldiers with their arms from the army and established small armed groups to protect civilians. Later, armed struggle against the regime started after months of daily killing of civilians and no help of any kind from outside Syria.

Now over 30.000 were killed, 100s of thousands in prisons, women have been raped by the regime, Kids and babies have been slaughtered, millions fled the country, cities have been destroyed by most sophisticated arms. The Syrian regime even, have been bullying, harassing, and threatening Syrians and/or others around the world who opposed. Unfortunately, still there is nobody really helping to stop the massacres until now.

Google: The Syrian Revolution (English) | Facebook - (Includes massacre’s photos)

Al-Ba’ath party has 2 branches, one ruling Syria under Al-Assad and the other was ruling Iraq under Saddam Husain with the same ideology and ideas.

The Syrian story started with the father (Hafez Assad) who came from the poor Alawis village (Qardaha) on the Syrian coast. He wanted to study medicine but he couldn’t because he was too poor. He went to the military school and later he and his colleagues in Al-Ba’ath party illegally and forcefully overthrew the government and took over the power in Syria. Then, Assad imprisoned those colleagues until they died in prisons and controlled Syria alone with his family and made Syria the only Apartheid Arab state. Alawis from Qardaha and other Alawis villages invaded the Syrian cities like Locusts and controlled all kind of high positions in Syria. The way they speak has a tune and some special words and this distinguished them. Syrians feared them to death whenever they are because they know that they are above the law. Directly after Hafez Assad passed away, the constitution was altered and his son Bashar inherited illegally the presidency of Syria and the regime remained the same. Now, Al-Assad family and cousins and relatives control absolutely everything in Syria, and they became one of the richest worldwide and that is one reason why they do not want to leave power.

The other reason is that they are Alawis, a religious group who follow the Shia (Iran) in Islam; and that why Iran is unconditionally supporting them. Iran has been helping the regime by influencing Russia and china in the UN, supplying the regime with arms and skillful Iranian soldiers. Recently, Iranian official said that the victory of Assad is the victory of Iran.

Nobody is assisting the Syrians. (Assad = Hitler)'s regime has been taking advantage of the careless and reluctant Arab and international situation and has been dropping TNT barrels on civilians and committing genocide. The current Holocaust is going on in Syria.
