Any thoughts on Colonel Tom Parker?

Apart from:

He wasn't a Colonel

His name wasn't Tom or even Parker

He was Dutch, probably illegal and wanted for murder in Holland

*Absolutely a big gambler and apparently in debt to the mob who ran Vegas at that time so it was 'Get Elvis' or bang bang!

Update 2:

Elvis wanted to break contact with 'Parker' Parker wanted $3 million and Elvis backed off. On the death of Elvis 'Parker' opened a museum of Elvis stuff. Priscilla and Lisa Marie (the chief beneficiary) had to pay nigh on $3 million to get it off him to remove any rivalry to Graceland.

Almost all Elvis's best material was recorded before Parker got his claws in him. Elvis spent far too much of his career singing mediocre songs in trashy films.

  • He was a crook.

    Lousy businessman.

He was a gambler who used Elvis to pay his gambling debts.
