Homework Help: Lord of the Flies Guided Reading Questions?
In chapter 2 of 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding What are the goals of this society? are they reasonable? how do they go about achieving them? Please answer ASAP. Thanks :)

Well right now in chapter 2, the boys decided that they need to tend & watch the signal fire up at the mountains, and hunt for meat. At this time, the boys are almost well-governed (by the conch).
Yes, these goals are reasonable because 1. they need the signal fire going to be rescued sometime soon and 2. they are hungry and someone has got to get some food.
How do they go about achieving these goals?
Well, Jack volunteers his group of hunters to be responsible for keeping the signal fire going. So the boys collect a mound of dead wood and use the lenses from Piggy’s glasses to focus the sunlight and set the wood on fire. And then Jack, Roger, and Simon go hunting for pig meat. Note how they exclude Piggy.
