The town of Millau is about 112 km away from Montpellier. The bridge carries the motorway A75 which links Beziers to Clermont Ferrand. http://www.leviaducdemillau.com/#/itineraire-detai...

It is truly spectacular. There are visits.... see website above. You really need to go across it by car, so perhaps see if you can arrange a car-share? Look on the French car-share sites (covoiturage) and put in Millau.

To get to Montpellier Easyjet do a direct flight from London, Ryanair from Birmingham and Leeds. Here is a list of all the companies which fly into Montpellier. http://www.montpellier.aeroport.fr/fr/destinations...

The train is quite cheap if you book in advance

    Look up http://www.voyages-sncf.co.uk/

You could even take the Eurostar from London to Paris and then take the TGV (High Speed Train) to Montpellier
