I asked this very same question 3 months ago. Got called every unkind name
that the left could think of. Obama is trying to seal off the Military vote, He knows
it will go against him by 90 plus percent. Leon Pennetta knew this was a probem
months ago and had done everything he can to supress the news of this from
getting out of the Pentagon,

Here's a thought: The drop in requests is due to the fact that there are a lot fewer US troops overseas than 4 years ago, when there were still a lot of them in Iraq. And not having a military veteran run for either of the 2 major parties might have something to do with it as well - less turnout among the armed forces.

Why would Obama be afraid of the military vote? The vast majority of military SUPPORT Obama, moreso than they did for GW Bush.
