Don't you OWN a Bible?
1. He was crucified because even though Pilat said he could find no reason to kill him, the Jewish leaders and the crowd, demanded his death because they said he was against Ceasar and therefore, he was a threat to Rome. Because, on that day, Pilat offered up Barabaus or Jesus, and the crowd shouted out and chose Barabus..and in his place, Jesus was crucified. There were a couple of reasons why. He was crucified on Golgotha, the Hill of Skulls. (Called CALVARY by some Christians).
2. Day before his crucifixtion
3. No one knows for sure when Jesus was born. It was probably more like April or May, if an astronomer I listened to was right, about the original alignment of planets about the time he was born that would have shone like the Star of Bethlehem. It really doesn't matter when his birth is celebrated, does it? I can celebrate my birthday any day I want to. Why should it be on the exact day? And..besides, Christmas for many is a beautiful story at a wonderful time of the year. Why ruin a beatiful story with such ugliness and bigotry reminisent of those who killed him with the same kind of bigotry. Don't kill Christmas like they killed Christ, ok?
4. Boxing day, you must be British. Only the British observe Boxing Day (I once visited London on the Boxing Holidays and found out all of London was "out of town.").
