Things that I like about The Undertaker :
KAYFABE REASONS :
1. His 20-0 Wrestlemania Streak
This is unparralled and unprecedented. Nothing will come even close to that Streak, not even the 15 year undefeated Streak of Andre The Giant. Though it's kayfabe, to be 20-0 at Wrestlemania, you have to be on top of your game for 20 years straight. And the list he had beaten is who's who of sports entertainment : Diesel, Kane, Big Show, Batista, Ric Flair, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. His Streak already proved why he's the most dominant force in sports entertainment.
2. The list of WWE Legends he had defeated
Outside Wrestlemania, he also held great resume on victories over Legend. Very few could say they accomplish the same fate The Undertaker did : beating The Rock, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Batista, Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart (though by DQ). Very few could say the same thing.
3. His supernatural ability
I would love to be born with supernatural ability like he did. He could do things that normal people couldn't do and that make him so powerful and unbeatable.
NON KAYFABE REASONS :
1. His Gimmick
To be a mega star, gimmick is so important. The Undertaker had one of the best, if not the best gimmick in Pro Wrestling history. His undead gimmick won Best Gimmick Of The Year Award 4 times. And also WWE Fans still loved it. It never got stale, despite being a cartoon, unrealistic character. He also played a very good babyface and heel.
2. His In Ring Skill
The Undertaker despite being a big man, he's so agile and could move like a cruiserweight. Remember, when he did Suicide Dives countless times, including one when he dived off the fire at Unforgiven 1998. Also, he kept adapting new styles, and eventually became a Submission Specialist with Triangle Choke and Hell's Gate. He's a very good mat wrestler and highflyer. I don't think there's any other big man as talented as The Undertaker,
3. His Career Length and Passion
He's almost a 30 year veteran now and he's still wrestling. That's so incredibly awesome. He had one of the longest Pro Wrestling career ever and I won't be surprised if he decides to wrestle until his 60s like Ric Flair did. He could have retied 10 years ago and would already reached the greatest of all time status, but he never did, because he still loved this job and his Fans.
4. His backstage reputation
We never heard something bad said about The Undertaker. This pretty much affected his status as the greatest of all time. Legends such as Hulk Hogan, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels are usually excluded from being the greatest of all time due to their bad backstage reputation. But, we always hear The Undertaker's the most respected lockerroom leader backstage and he's always nice to his peers and juniors and he's even like their "God" backstage.
5. His loyalty to WWE
He never defected to WCW during Monday Night Wars during hard times when WWE almost go out of business. Instead, he kept up his hard work along with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and The Rock and eventually led WWE winning Monday Night Wars. He never left for money like so many did. This gave me another reason to like The Undertaker as a person.
Which I dislike about The Undertaker :
1. The fact he wasted all his years with only winning 7 World Titles
The Undertaker's one of the most powerful wrestler backstage. He should have won around 12-13 World Titles, but he chose not to. That's his own decision for sure, I'm sure WWE would love to have him as World Champion a lot more often. Instead, he chose to give younger wrestlers chances to be World Champions and him just putting them over. That's a complete waste. It's such a shame that the greatest wrestler of all time is only a 7 time World Champion. That's just so sad. Some younger Fans might not understand his greatness and think he's inferior to the likes of Cena, Edge, and Orton because he lacks of World Title reigns.
2. The fact he never attended deaths/memorial shows and never broke kayfabe
The Undertaker never appeared during Owen Hart's and Eddie Guerrero's Memorial Show. I know his gimmick doesn't fit to be part of memorial shows, but at least he should break kayfabe on real life sad moments like these. He never broke kayfabe is just too far. I know it's WWE's decision, but he should have refused, in fact Kane who had gimmick similar to him also attended memorial shows. I would also like The Undertaker to do charities and interviews like other wrestlers.
3. The fact he's only wrestling once a year at Wrestlemania
I know this is ridilicious, but I still want him to be at least a part time wrestler who wrestled occasionally on TV and regularly on PPV, like he did before 2011.
BQ : Yeah, I also pick Daffney.
