Can you be arrested for Early Warning Services?

I heard from a person, someone they know did something with a bank I believe it was Chase or Bank of America and they now owe them like 900 dollars and they said they believe even though it's the person's first time offense they're going to jail is this true can you be arrested for just popping up on EWS, because I know of several people on there for reasons that are actual mistakes, but they are not arrested is there like a certain amount of money before EWS turns it to the authorities or not?

If you have an entry in EWS, most banks will turn down your application to open a checking or savings account with them. Again, the most likely reason for your inclusion in the database is excessive overdrafts or bounced checks.
