Did you ever ride around Ocean City in the Summer time? All those surfboards are car roofs are not there for decoration.
Ocean City is one of the more surfing oriented communities in Cape May County. However, like other towns in the area, surfing is restricted to certain beaches. In Ocean City the surfing beaches are at Waverly Road, 7th Street and Street (with life guards) and at unguarded beaches in the south end of town.
Surfers Supply 7th Street Surf Shop and Heritage Surf and Sport are three of the best surf shops in south Jersey.
Ocean City has been one of my frequent surfing stops since the 60s.

Look up Rob Kelly. Pro surfer from Ocean City sponsored by BillaBong now. Along with many other guys. Ocean City is very popular. Go watch Dark Fall. Movie about New Jersey surfers. Amazing movie that would teach you a lot.Source(s): local
