Can you attach a timer to a light switch?

I want to put my porch light on a timer so it turns on at night and turns off on its own late at night. The switch is attached to a standard 3 switch electric box on the wall with a plate.

Update:

How can I do it?

Some have better automatic dusk adjustment than others, here is a cheap one, just programs on time. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UTJHBC/ref=as...

Go to a lowes or home depot and buy a Lutron timer that replaces a switch and it programs as many ons and offs as you want. Simple programming and easy install.

Go Walmart, buy an attachment which screws into the socket, then the bulb screws into it. I have one that is turned on all the time, comes on when dark, then gets brighter when someone comes to door.
