If you are told how long a fence post is, and how high it is,how can you find how deep it is set in the ground?

    Fence posts are usually set 2 feet deep in the ground. When we built our fence we bought 8ft posts and put them 2 feet under ground making a 6 ft, fence. Of course you can never know for sure how far someone beforehand put the posts, but 2 feet is a good guess.

    Sure. You just Subtract the height of the Fence Post from the Length, & you end up with how DEEP it Is- Underground ! :)

    Just take the length of the post and subtract the heighth. That will give you how deep it is set. :)
