You won't need a reset disk, but you will still need a blank DVD.
You can reset your password with Ophcrack. Ophcrack is an Ubuntu utility that you write to a disk, then boot your computer with.
1. Download the ISO below that matches your version of windows and burn it to a disk. There will be an ad, just skip it.

2. Then place the disk in your DVD tray and turn off the computer.
3. Reboot the computer and press F9 when the Acer logo appears. A menu listing the drives on your computer will appear, select the one that says your DVD drive
[Usually D:] The computer will now boot from the disk.
4.The cracking software will automatically start.
5.When the program finishes you will be given the option to change your password. Keep it simple.
