Why do republicans call Democrats nazis?
This seems like a stupid statement to me. To call some one that helps a lower class of the top 5% on healthcare and taxes. Republicans are the ones if I can remember, that held up unemployment checks so the rich can eat on a gold plate while they put poor families in jeopardy due to the job creators sending jobs overseas. They feel being patriotic is making majority of the countries wealth. I guess that was not enough.

Short answer: It's a lie, and a crazy one, but they KNOW their minions will suck it up like the rest of the poison pablum madness they have gobbled down for the last thirty plus years. They say it because it has cynical, depraved short term benefits among the ignorant, who comprise a huge percentage of the "teabagger" element of the neo-fascist ultra-right which now comprises much of their support. The most suppressive regime in history, the Nazis were PURE right wingers, and all the literature agrees. This means nothing to the crackpot elements of the ultra-right, who are merely looking for hateful terminology, whether it makes sense or not.
It isn't so much a stupid statement as a planned fraud, to cover their racist loathing for this particular President, and for taxes on the ultra-wealthy who own their party and their fellow man. It's just something to use to make money and take power, which are their only real goals.
It would be hilarious, normally, to read the ill-informed suggestion that "Nazis were socialists", but this is the real world, and that kind of twisted error/misconception is downright ridiculous and insulting, and very, very sinister and dangerous.
No serious scholar agrees, and in THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH (1961), Shirer made fun of that immense misconception, stating that there was no socialism in national socialism (Nazism) and examining in detail their right wing alliances with the Stahlhelm and other conservative political groups. Thyssen, in I PAID HITLER (1940) makes this much clearer, and does so with an authority no latter day liar like Glenn Beck can garner. Hitler made this clear, and so have all the rational historians.
By the way, Fest, Toland, and Bullock are very conservative historians, rightists themselves, and Albert Speer was Hitler's last War Production minister. How far on the right the Nazis were is perhaps best defined by his missive, INSIDE THE THIRD REICH. It's in ALL the histories, even the early ones. Yes, they used some left wing "language" in the 20's, then in 1934, placed under edict of death everyone who participated in those propaganda efforts, most notably the Strasser brothers.
To them, patriotism is about bumper stickers, flag pins, and listing people they hate.
I miss legitimate conservatives. The lunatic fringe/JBS/AEI/Heritage Foundation crazies and Fox have forced any who still exist into what amounts to hiding.
But that statement? It's ludicrous and psychopathic.Source(s): Every syllable of the real scholarship, witness testimony, hard facts, and analysis.

They don't seem to be the ones doing this? The place have you ever been, it's Republicans like Rush Limbaugh, the defacto leader of the GOP and others like Glen Beck who're calling Democrats Nazis. What they're doing is "projecting" as they're surely those acting like Nazi's. Lying and distorting the information about coverage reform telling historical men and women they are going to be euthanized. Looking to silence any dialogue by using shouting and dangerous audio system at town hall meetings and different Un-American Anti-Democratic conduct like that. That is what Hitler did....However rememberr one factor...Hitler too was a coward and lost! He committed suicide and that's what Republicans are doing through making use of these approaches.

The right wing has always had a problem with terminology and definitions, starting with "good" and "evil" and continuing right on through.
Rather comically, if you hear their weirdness about "free stuff" and "welfare", it makes it sound as if being impoverished was easy and "cool". I was there, briefly, and I can tell you, it is ANYTHING BUT...
And most of their base has no knowledge of pretty much anything except what they get from the shills and sleaze on Fox and hate radio, so they're not going to subject liars like Rove and Ailes and Ryan to any actual scrutiny.
So to answer succinctly, they use hate terms as they have always accused the "liberals" of using money: they just toss stuff out, throwing hate speech around to see if any of it sticks.
Most of them are too ignorant and hopelessly confused to read any of the real literature, which proves to a certainty that Nazis were right wing racists, rather more like the Republican Party than the Democratic Party. In private, they use the "n word", firing it out like machine gun bullets, to describe their list of "useless people", to include the President himself. And I've HEARD it at Chamber of Commerce meetings. I don't argue, I just shut up and move on.
It's dangerous to argue with insane crackpots and liars who don't have any facts or basis for reasoning.
Republicans are loyal patriots much like Judas Iscariot, Vidkun Quisling, and Benedict Arnold, and it's been a long time since I met one with any principles or sense of truth.
To them, it's just a question of what's convenient.

To face facts: the madness they address to their base no longer has to even make sense.
Nazis always were right wing, despite hooplah from hack con men like Glenn Beck. All the scholarship and witnesses agree with that, without exception.
But they're looking to rouse hatred any way they can, and that's their business.
It is a profitable business, too, while the real fascists and Nazis in the U.S. pump money into their wildly fanciful advertising and preposterous claims.
It's about power, and even more, MONEY. Everything else is irrelevant.

Democrats are closer to socialism than Republicans are. Obama along with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are pushing a Socialist agenda on America. The Nazi party was socialist, even the word Nazi stands for National Socialist German Workers' Party. Notice Socialist in there?

Are you serious? The Democrats say that Romney intentionally laid off a guy and that led to his wife dying. Not true. They say they want to make economic slaves of the population.
It goes on and on. I don't even like Republicans but to make it out that the Republicans are the deomonizers is disingenuous.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. they also call Democrats communists and most don't seem to be able to tell the difference. just assume they don't like Democrats very much and just call them by any name they think is bad.

..............actually the republicans are nazis because they supported the anti-immigrants from both Arizona & Alabama. Oh yes they also hate Obama because his not a socialist.
