My favorites are in no order, arturo fuente, illusione, cohiba, montecristo, CAO, Carillo, Rocky Patel, and I don't normally deviate from those.
The humidor is made of wood and holds the humidity in the pores of the wood. Anything from 68-72 percent humidity is ideal and can be checked with a digital or manual hygrometer.
I started smoking cigars right away starting with fuentes, cuba cubas and things like that. It's all personal preference. I enjoy cigars, and my pipe which I smoke on occasion.
It is not as addictive as cigarettes as long as cigars are enjoyed in moderation. I myself have 1-2 a day or none at all based on my mood. I have my morning smoke to wake up or one midday to relax as I prefer a midday break. And I usually end my night with a light to medium smoke like a hemingway for example.
It's a great hobby as long as it is enjoyed in moderation.
