I am 100% sure of the God inside, but my answers may be harder to implement on others than on my myself in the face of discrepancy of epistemology.
Excellent question, yes, well, it's more relevant if one considers a wine tasting session, this is taken very seriously. What usually happens in a wine tasting session is that someone takes a sip of wine at an interval where such time has passed that it doesn't affect the tasting of the wine.
So say breakfast at 9am, then a wine tasting session at noon, only water should be taken after the point of breakfast until the wine session to get a clearer taste on the tongue. Then between each tasting of a certain wine, there are mouth clearing methods, one is, not to leave the wine on the tongue too much so that the wine sticks to the tongue, and another is to drink a few glasses of water to try and clear the taste, readying for the next glass of wine followed by the tongue clearing methods again.
You COULD become a connoisseur in eating malteasers or a topic bar, but, yes, I feel rather more you are talking about the finer things, so pretty much, the same thing applies... Leave a certain amount of time before eating chocolate with only water after breakfast then either don't leave the chocolate on the tongue for too long or clear off the taste with some water and ready for the next chocolate.
