Does Mitt Romney consider his wife Ann personal property?

She has a debilitating disease and he parades her all over the campaign trail even when it causes her great physical pain to do so.

I watched a special on Romney yesterday and Ann had said "no more campaigning" a while back. But she relented one more time.

Many religions have recently begun changing in an attempt to equalize the roles and responsibilities of men and women. Mormonism is one of the exceptions.

The Mormon position on women has changed little since the early 1800's, when the official view was that "woman's primary place is in the home, where she is to rear children and abide by the righteous counsel of her husband" (McConkie 844).

This attitude, coupled with the doctrine of polygamy and the absolute power claimed by the men of the church, created a legacy of profound sexism which modern Mormonism has been unable to escape.

Yes, Iris, which is why Mormon women are more likely to graduate from collage than any other religion. That's so submissive and mistreated and stupid. :rolleyes. Get your freaken' facts strait.

  • Republicans went crazy when John Edwards still campaigned as his wife had cancer, but now that the shoe is on the right foot, they don't care/
