Why are the Boston Red Sox so F'ed up?

That clubhouse seems really miserable. How did it get that way?

Because they overpaid for a bunch of big names, they hired the wrong manager (and fired the right one), the ownership cares more about their soccer and racing teams, they let their GM go and got nothing in return and their new gm is a moron. In the glory years of 04-07, their focus was not on selling tickets but winning a Title and ever since 2009, they just want to sell tickets. John Henry has lost his interest in the team and is not letting his baseball guys make decisions, and when they have, they usually make the wrong one. The Front Office is totally screwed up and they only have 2 really promising prospects. The gave up them all for Gonzalez (who just got traded). Maybe not that Beckett, Gonzalez and Crawford are gone, maybe they are back to trying to win instead of putting asses in the seats because the only way TO put asses in the seats is if you win and the way the roster was shaped 2 Hours ago, they would really not win for the next decade. Now they hand the team over to young guys like Pedroia and Middlebrooks, people who the fans actually want to see instead of overpaid crybabies that made up the club 2 Hours ago.

Because of Bobby V. He set a negative tone for the whole season when he called out Youkilis in the media during spring training. He lost the clubhouse before the regular season ever began. Even after Youkilis was traded, the damage had been done.

It's called the players pulling the leg of the manager so that they hope for him to get fired...it's just BAD chemistry going around in the air all together; I think the media is getting to the heads of the entire team either way the players like Pedroia and A-Gon need to just play baseball

Because they overpaid for a bunch of big names in order to sell tickets instead of putting together a cohesive team.
