Is civil/environmental engineering useful for the navy and air force?

I posted a question here a few days regarding the usefulness of my degree for the military and many people say it is not useful which is ironic because I also posted a question regarding if environmental science is useful for the military and people in yahoo answers says yes. Now, I'm confused if environmental/civil is a useful degree.

Yes. Contact a Navy Officer Recruiter. These are not the guys working in recruiting offices.

The navy will take you, I would talk with an office recruiter about working with the Seabees or go CB and try to go officer.
