Use a product called "Burn Gel". It is fantastic. It has Aloe Vera, Tea tree oil and other stuff but best of all it has Lidocaine in it which helps with the pain while all the other stuff in it helps you heal naturally. I have tried a ton of stuff and this is the best. Those damn sprays just don't last long.
There may be another brand that does the same thing but this brand is the one I know.
Do not use any greasy stuff as it is hard to wash off and really does not help all that much. Do NOT put face cream on it as that is caustic. Do NOT put Ice on it as it will make it worse.
Other things that help cool or cold water. Some say vinegar helps but I have never had it help me.
In the future please put on sunscreen. There is a lot of people out there that are going to get skin cancer because they got to damn much sun.
OH I use to liver on the river near the Chesapeake bay and went crabbing a lot as a kid. I miss that. I'm land locked now. LOL We use to take them and boil them and put a plastic cover over the table and pour them out along with corn and potatoes and lemons and we all had hammers and nut crackers we used to crack them YUMMMMMMMM
I know about burns. I've been in first aid since the 70's. Had a 2 degree sunburn on the back of both legs from the ankle to the knee. Had other symptoms like radiation poisoning along with the bad burns.
I have also treated a lot of first and 2nd degree burns and this stuff really helps.
