Sherry Peel Jackson was convicted of four counts of willful failure to file tax returns, and was sentenced to serve four years in federal prison. United States v. Sherry Peel Jackson, No. 1:07-cr-00108-ODE-GGB-1 (N.D. Ga. 2/20/2008), aff'd No. 08-10651 (11th Cir. 9/10/2008). She was released from prison after serving her term on August 8, 2011.

BTW, she was rightfully convicted. She believed that there is no law that requires people to file a return. She was wrong because there is a law. She also believed that there is no law making anyone liable for the federal income tax. Again, she was wrong because there is a law. Title 26 of the U.S. Code is law. Section 6012(a) requires people to file returns. Title 26 does impose an income tax and make people liable for that tax.

Well this morning they are talking about "a time of transition" is never easy and K-love can understand how after 7 years of waking up to John and Sherry that we would have a hole in our hearts. Well, maybe if they would just say what happened we'd have some sense of explanation at least. If it's marriage problems, just say so and we'll pray for them. If it's health problems with one of them - just say so and we'll pray for them. The way they are doing it is wrong. Not only did we lose them but we also feel helpless because we have no idea what has happened.

What a waste who ever gave the lengthy explanation about Sherry Jackson's conviction. That is a completely different Sherry Jackson, and also a different ethnic background.
