Is German a common language spoken in Kazakhstan?
I know is used to be, but is it still today?

No, not at all. Most Volga German families - or rather their descendants - have emigrated to Germany by now. Those who stayed hardly speak German any longer.Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volga_Germans "Most Germans of Kazakhstan speak only Russian." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germans_of_Kazakhstan

No, there is only an ethnic group of German of 1.1%.
Kazakh and Russian are the two official languages.
