how do i win more at slot machines?
Next month im taking a trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey with 1000 bucks and I want to come back with MORE, not less. Im planning to hit the slot machines because they are the easiest, and you dont have to learn complex rules or how to read "poker faces" or whatever. I need some tips on how to win the most money possible from slot machines. thanks!

The slot machines really aren't the most lucractive thing in the casino. If you crunch the numbers, Craps is the game where skill plays the biggest part. Experienced craps players can get the house advantage down to about 1%. Compare that with an approximate 8% house advantage on slot machines, and you can see why it might pay to learn some other games like craps, blackjack, or roulette. Find a free online Flash version where you can learn the basics of the game; it's not hard. Poker is a little more advanced than these, but if you don't feel comfortable with it, don't waste your time and money.
However, if you have your heart set on winning a big jackpot at the slots... Pick a machine. If you play 3 times and don't win, move on. That machine is a dud. Casinos place the best-paying machines in high visibility, high traffic areas, because they want people to see someone win big, and be inspired to join in. That person will probably go to the machine next to them, which doesn't pay as well. Look for machines right near the aisle. Also, some casinos have a single slot machine in a restaurant or hotel lobby or something. Try that one too; they tend to pay out very well (because of the visibility factor, remember?) I learned all this from this guide I found online; here's a review of it if you're interested:
http://gamblingsystemreviews.net/slot-machines-mas... (it's an e-book, so you'll be able to download and read it before your trip)
A few last words of advice (and this applies to any gambling and even lottery)
- Quit while you're ahead... Don't "chase" a big jackpot!
- There is no such thing as being "overdue" to win. In Roulette for example, the odds of hitting black, black, red, black, red, red, black, etc. are EXACTLY THE SAME as hitting red, red, red, red, red, red, red. This is known as the "gambler's fallacy" and it has cost many people a lot of money. If you don't believe me, try this: flip a coin 100 times in a row, and write down every result. When you're done, you'll see places where it landed on heads 10 times in a row, and the rest will look pretty random. You can't predict random things like that; you just have to learn to tilt the odds in your favor.
- Don't gamble with any money that you can't afford to lose.
May Lady Luck be with you!Source(s): Been to Vegas several times; read this e-book: http://gamblingsystemreviews.net/slot-machines-mas...

Begin with the assumption that not all slot machines pay out at the same rate and that the casino management knows which ones pay out better than others. Now ask yourself where the management would put those slot machines that payout well to get the maximum benefit. The answer is fairly straight forward. The management will put those machines where people who aren't gambling can see people winning. Does it do the casino any good if the only people who can see the player win are already gambling? Survey the casino and decide where the non-gamblers would be; near the door, in sight of the restaurant or the bar, or perhaps by the lobby. Avoid slot machines that are in the middle of the gambling area. Avoid slot machines that aren't in a casino.

The vary thing you want to avoid (poker) is the vary thing that can make you profitable. There is no strategy to slots, and therefor, you can never over come the house edge with any skills or strategies or tips -- it's pure chance and the odds are always in the houses favor regardless of what you do.
If you must refuse to play skill/strategy games (Poker, Blackjack, Video Poker, sports betting, Backgammon, ect) then play Craps, the house edge is almost non existent if you bet on the right things. Always bet on the "Don't Pass" and "Don't Come" bar and after the point has been established, take the maximum odds you can afford. This house's edge will be less than 1%, that's a way better deal than the 8-30% edge that slots offer.
Still, if you play long enough, you will lose more than you will win -- that's the consequence for playing mindless chance games as opposed to games like Poker.

We have all heard that slots results depend on a number that a computer chip, the random number generator, produces the moment you pull the handle of the machine or press the button when playing online. However, some people don’t fully understand what “completely random” means. Just because fruit machines have a payout percentage and the casino is required to return the most of that money to players, it doesn’t mean big payouts occur over certain periods of time or sums of money accumulated for a certain game. The random number generator doesn’t have such a “progressive” feature, therefore, two big jackpot wins can occur over a short period of time, while the same machine can hardly pay out anything for several days. That is why when you’re down, you should stop, instead of chasing your losses and believing they will be certainly followed by a big win. It is an absolutely necessary skill to master, walking away when you’re losing and avoiding the “just one more pull” mistake.

Well, technically, if you want to increase your chances of a successful gambling trip, you should stay AWAY from slot machines. They offer the worst odds for the player, meaning the house has a big advantage. And since you don't want to play poker, the only casino game in which a player has some control over his success rate, you should probably play blackjack or craps, both of which have much better odds than slot machines.
However, if you suck at cards and just want to pull on a rod the whole trip, play the higher denomination slots. Penny slots are the worst sucker bets; then, nickels; then quarters; then one dollar, and so on. Since your bankroll is about $1000, not all of which will go to gambling I presume, you should probably play the quarter slots or the dollar slots. And always play the max credits for each spin. Some casinos will place signs above a group of slot machines that tells you the payout percentage. If you see a sign that says 99% rate of return, play on those machines. Also look for machines that have progressive jackpots. All you need to do now is to hit that progressive jackpot, some of which payout millions of dollars! :) I once won $7000 from one superlucky pull of a dollar slot machine. It got me addicted to gambling hehe.

Slot machines were created for one reason only - that is to TAKE YOUR MONEY! In the long run, that's exactly what they will do. In fact, they will do that much more so than most other games in the casino because they are amongst the worst bets.
Two things I can promise you if you play slot machines enough:
#1 - You WILL WIN sometimes! In fact, sometimes you'll win big!
#2 - You WILL LOSE MORE than you ever win, and that counts the occasional big win.
You have to accept the fact that you will LOSE money playing the slot machines. If you don't accept that fact, then you shouldn't be playing.
If you do accept that fact, then it only leaves one SANE reason to play the slot machines. That is to HAVE FUN!!! You're going on a trip to Atlantic City! That's a fun trip! It might even be worth spending the entire $1,000 on all the fun you're going to have.
If the trip is only 1 day, then there is a small chance you might come out with more money. If the trip is for a couple days or more, then the chance that you'll walk away with more money than your thousand is much lower. In a nutshell, the long you plan on playing, the more money you should expect to lose.
If you can't afford to spend the whole $1,000 on this trip in order to have fun, then you shouldn't be bringing that much money.

Playing casino slots can be a fun hobby. These machines can bombard your senses with lights, sounds, or vibrations, all of which are designed to entice you to play either in a casino or online. Because of their ability to draw attention, slot machines tend to be the most popular type of game at a casino. A person playing a slot machine can insert cash, or in Ticket-In, Ticket-Out machines, a paper ticket with a barcode, into a designated slot on the machine. The machine is then activated by means of a lever or button, or on newer machines, by pressing a touch screen on its face. The game itself may or may not involve skill on the player's part or it may create the illusion of involving skill while only being a game of chance.Source(s): http://www.slotmachines.org.uk/
