Japan's superstar guitarist, Masayoshi Takanaka. He's been pals with Santana for 30 years and they often jam together.
Here's a live version of Takanaka playing "Early Bird":
Hungarian guitarist Gabor Szabo is a guitarist's guitarist. He wrote "Gypsy Queen", which Santana tacked onto the end of "Black Magic Woman". Here's Gabor's original version:
From Iran, the damned good rock band Hypernova. They escaped to the states via the UAE after permission to play in the Emirates. They sing in English.
They are both rockers and freedom activists. Even this first song, "Fairytales" is about the futility of the Green Revolution. The girl is the people, daddy is the government and the big bad wolf is the Basij militia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_sxsKBVJDE
The dangers of any theocracy:
Leave us alone and let us rock, dance and screw! "I will not bow down to your god!"
That's all I have for now. I didn't realize your question included two continents. I should have included a few Welsh bands, since the UK is geographically not Europe.

King Biscuit Boy
The Hawk! Ronnie Hawkins
Downchild Blues Band
Norman "Dutch" Mason (the Prime Minister of the Blues)
Jeff Healey Band
All are Canadian and all are awesome Bluesmen.
Not to mention the greats Joni Mitchell, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, and Richard Manuel - all of whom played some Blues and were Canadians.
edit: Turkey Russia iran??? Ooohhh, we thought you meant actual *good* music, sorrySource(s): Smiley will confirm that Canada is not in America

Here we go again, with the "America/Canada/central and south"
I always thought that Blues Creation was the biggest blues rock band out of the east. But that is assumption. Certainly a band that could play blues and a lot more.

If you want to be pedantic, parts of both Russia and Turkey are in Europe. When you are referring to both continents, it is customary to use "The Americas".
Here's some dangdut-influenced blues sung in the Malay language by the Blues Gang form Kuala Lumpur.
