Why can't I vote for the VMA's?

Question

In order to vote, you have to create an account and I did. But it says "Sorry you are ineligible to join MTV." Is it my zip code or age or something? o;

1. ELIGIBILITY

At the time of voting, voter must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, 13 years of age or older and cannot be an employee, agent or representative of Viacom Media Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. the "Sponsor"), Facebook Inc. ("Facebook") or any of their respective parent companies, affiliate or related companies.

2. HOW TO VOTE

Submit your vote for your "Nominee" preference during the Voting Periods, as hereinafter defined, by clicking the button adjacent to or below the name of the Nominee of your choice", then follow the instructions to complete the voting process.

It could be the country you are in? Sometimes you have to be living in America for some reason? ,..... Just try make another account with a different address :)
