Chocolate Covered Strawberry Q?

How can you make them like this where they are nice and vertical in different ways shown here..?

    I'd guess that they piped white chocolate lines into a tub of regular chocolate and (very carefully) dipped to get that pattern. You could probably make them swirl like a barber pole if you gave them a twist on the way out.

    That looks like some VERY intense decorating. Short of using paint brushes or toothpicks to paint the melted chocolate on, I can't think of how that was done.

    EDIT: @ Scott: That's plausible, but I would think the chocolate would start to harden fairly quickly. It would be interesting to try.
