After the puppies are weaned. You should schedule now though and let the vet know she just had pups. Sometimes they want you to wait until the pups are adopted to ensure they don't break open/harm mom post-surgery. You should not separate mom from pups until they are 8 weeks of age for the sake of the puppies behavioral and social development.

Wait until after the puppies are 8 weeks old and adopted out to their new homes, and get it done beofre they are 4 months old - at which time she would be due to go back into heat.

Wait until the puppies are ten to twelve weeks old. By then her milk will have dried up and her uterus will be back to pre-pregnancy size.

As soon as the puppies are weaned. You do not want her to have another heat.
